According to source the BPO and IT-enabled services industry now directly employs 1.052 million Filipinos. The sector includes contact center services; back offices; medical, legal and other data transcription; animation; software development; engineering design; and digital content.

Additionally, the BPO industry is projected to yield up to $27 billion in annual revenues and engage over 1.3 million Filipinos workers by 2016, this is according to the IT and Business Processing Association of the Philippines, which has 229 member firms.

Still, kung 12-15K po ang sahod niyo/natin as a representative, that is only around $300-$350 per month. Ang minimum namin dito sa Canada as employees is $1,800. I guess what I am trying to say is lahat po tayo ay biktima ng exploitation. Maski po yung mga 'Kano na nawalan ng trabaho, exploited din sila to some degree kasi tinanggalan sila ng trabaho at pinalitan ng "cheaper labor" na nasa bansa natin. Let's put it this way: sampal sa mukha nating mga nagtatrabaho yung ginagawa ng malalaking kumpanya sating maliliit na tao. Yun po yun. No need na magpataasan ng ihi.

    6. @Hjtorres May nagpapasweldo paring multinational na BPO na 12K-15K a month?

      Delete
    7. @hjtorres, masyado short-sighted ideya mo. Malamang mababa kasi malaki ang standards of living sa Canada, for example I am sure mahal ang karne, gas, renta ng bahay, halaga ng lote and mga serbisyo doon. Kaya ganun din ang sweldo. May iba pang factors, skill level, etc etc. In my opinion, ka offend offend na may call center agent na 13k - 14k starting pay, na kapareho ng marketing associate, sales personnel, office secretary, admin assistant, janitor, o minsan teacher pa o ece engineer pa!

I agree na may exploitationg nagaganap. Pero to be fair, madami din sa listahan ng kompanyang yan that pays decently.

Pero isipin mo pag sumobrang taas naman ang salary rates natin... eh baka i move yan sa vietnam or laos. ok fine titirahin tayo sa dapat matuto ang companies na magbayad ng competitive, pero c'mon man, kung ako business man, gagawin ko lahat para maging cost effective salary ko ng di ako malulugi at madami ako kikitain.

Haha. I guess my point is that, while we work hard to earn a living, wag natin kalilimutan na part pa din ito ng exploitation ng large-scale capitalism.

Bird's eye-view, kumbaga.

Oo, may trabaho tayo. Napakahusay na punto iyan. Kailangan natin talaga magtrabaho't sumahod. Our salary is the bare minimum, and I don't mean P8000 na minimum. Bare minimum means it's just enough to get us through to the next paycheck, but it doesn't mean we'll ever flourish with that kind of salary.

Don't get me wrong and please don't take my word out of context.

I'va worked in a BPO company but its not listed here..but we we're earning around 12-15k every 15/30..minsan more pa, dpending on your performance of course. . it may seem much compared to some companies, but its still not enough if you are supporting your family.. its really good to diversify your money and learn to save..or go into other options like opening your own business, or do part time work. I'm into network marketing now, and i can say thay it has helped me alot! :)

Maliit lang ang call center ng ACN. Majority ay Technology like Software Engineers or Developers. 13th Month Pay Bonus Calculator

There are a lot of articles that have been published on how to compute the 13th month pay and I have read most of it however, I think it’s missing the actual calculator that can compute our estimated 13th month pay. The 13th month pay calculator that we have created would be beneficial especially for those employees who have been employed by the company for less than a year because, the amount of the 13th month pay will be pro-rated (will depend on the number of days or months of service). Based on DOLE’s Department Advisory  the number of days for leave without pay should be taken into consideration. Computation 1: If you have been employed by your company for more than a year use the computation below; Computation 2: Pro- Rated computation.
